Seven faculty members from the School of Literatures, Cultures & Linguistics have received promotions.
The promotions include two faculty members who were promoted from associate professor to professor; four who were promoted from assistant professor to associate professor; and one who was promoted from associate teaching professor to teaching professor. They're effective as of August 16.
"As our university notes, the promotion of faculty members is among the most important decisions it makes and is based on the highest standards of excellence," said Mariselle Meléndez, director of SLCL. "Each of the faculty members recognized below has met and exceeded the expectations of our institution through their outstanding achievements in research, teaching, and service. This promotion is a significant accomplishment and a testament to their dedication, hard work, and commitment to excellence."
