Intensive Language Instruction Program

The Intensive Language Instruction Program (ILIP) is a unique educational experience designed to accelerate language learning through an immersive classroom atmosphere that is fun and welcoming. ILIP classes combine language and culture through engaging high-quality activities facilitated by our skilled instructors.

Students will receive 30-hours of enjoyable in-person or online language instruction, which maximizes exposure to the target language to help them meet their own personal learning goals.

What do past students have to say about ILIP?

"I love learning new languages, but even as a linguist I find it challenging to begin a new language and stay motivated on my own or with an app. ILIP gave me the opportunity to jump into learning something new in a guided yet low-pressure setting. The mix of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives helped to cultivate an interesting learning environment, one you don’t always find in traditional courses." - Katie V.

“ILIP is not your typical travel survival class, i.e. not just a collection of useful phrases, but a real class in basic Spanish, perhaps equivalent to 10 weeks of college-level Spanish 101. The instructor was highly knowledgeable, experienced, and a gifted teacher. Even more, she made the class really enjoyable!" - John A.

"I’ve loved each of the courses I’ve taken through ILIP. I highly recommend it! Since there are no grades, there’s no risk, and I feel like the cost is very reasonable for the number of hours of instruction offered. I learned a lot in a short period of time, challenged myself, and met some friendly classmates. I appreciate that everyone is there purely to learn, not just to earn credits or high grades." - Laura P.
