The Humanities Research Institute at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign has awarded its annual faculty and graduate student fellowships to seven faculty members and seven graduate students from the campus for the 2023–24 academic year.

HRI said there will be no research theme for the year; applicants were invited to propose projects investigating any subject.

One faculty member and two graduate students from SLCL were among the recipients:
