Kara Warburton, Lecturer in Translation and Interpreting Studies, has published a new book titled The Corporate Terminologist, published by the John Benjamins Publishing Company.

The Corporate Terminologist is the first monograph that addresses the principles and methods for managing terminology in content production environments that are demanding and multilingual. The new work describes the needs of large corporations and how those needs demand a new, pragmatic approach to terminology management.

Warburton’s book describes and critiques the theories and methods informing terminology management today. It includes practical considerations such as preparing an executive proposal, designing a term-base, and extracting terms from corpora.
